Since founding Monument Traders Alliance in 2019, we've traded real money and documented over 3,200 stock recommendations across seven years of market chaos.
Our W.A.R. Trends System – where Winning Fundamentals meet Accelerated Technicals at the moment of Recent / Upcoming Catalysts – has delivered a verified success rate of 73% to 76% across multiple market cycles.
This includes the 2020 COVID crash, the 2022 bear market, the 2024 election volatility, and the brutal 2025 tariff-driven corrections that wiped out most momentum strategies.
Here are just a few of our notable winners...
When others panic, we position.
When fundamentals align with perfect timing and fresh catalysts, that's where the real money gets made.

Forty years in the markets have taught me this...
The best opportunities show up when everyone else runs for the exits.
When CNBC broadcasts doom and retail investors dump everything, exceptional businesses become available at fire-sale prices.
I focus on companies with irreplaceable advantages trading way below what they're actually worth because of temporary problems that don't threaten their long-term business.

When COVID destroyed air travel in 2020, Rolls-Royce crashed more than 90% to $0.70. The media narrative painted aviation as dead, making anything connected to flying toxic.
I recognized that this wasn't permanent demand destruction – it was temporary disruption hitting a company with advantages nobody else has.
Rolls-Royce doesn't just sell engines and walk away. It earns recurring revenue every hour those engines operate through long-term service contracts. This creates predictable cash flows tied directly to flight hours.
Only three companies worldwide can build engines for wide-body aircraft. You can't just switch suppliers – certification takes decades, switching costs are enormous.
The real money comes from 20-plus year maintenance contracts, not one-time engine sales. Once aviation recovered, this recurring revenue would return automatically.
Rolls owns the long-haul international market where fuel efficiency matters most. These profitable routes would recover first.
The stocks was trading below what you could sell the parts for, despite the company owning irreplaceable technology and billions in contracted future revenue.
My thesis was simple: people would fly again. I didn't know whether it would take six months or two years, but I knew it would happen.
I told our members this wasn't a day trade – it was a fundamental conviction play requiring patience. While aviation stocks remained a wreck for months, I kept positions based on business reality rather than sentiment.
We captured 1,400%-plus returns as air travel recovered and investors remembered what Rolls-Royce does.
One of our members held 184,000 shares, turning the position into millions at the peak.

In January 2025, when gold hit $2,690 per ounce, every expert called the top.
"Gold's overextended," they said. "Time to take profits."
I looked at the same data and came to a different conclusion.
This wasn't the end of the gold bull market – it was the beginning of something much bigger.
U.S. debt hit $36 trillion and continued climbing. Inflation persisted despite Fed promises. Central banks around the world bought gold like crazy to hedge against dollar weakness.
Most people made a critical mistake: they bought gold ETFs.
I targeted gold stocks trading as if the metal was about to crash.
In 2024, Seabridge Gold fit my thesis perfectly. The company owns the KSM project – the largest undeveloped gold-copper deposit in the world. When gold stocks finally caught up to the metal, the leverage would be explosive.
5
I told our readers, "Everyone's focused on gold's price. Nobody's looking at gold stocks. When this rotation happens, the moves will be violent."
Gold exploded past $4,600 per ounce—up nearly 70% since my call—while silver surged even harder, crushing records above $90/oz. Seabridge Gold (SA) delivered massive 200% returns as the market finally woke up to undervalued gold equities.
This validates everything I've been saying about the precious metals sector for years. Royalty/streamers like Franco-Nevada (FNV) jumped $10+ per share in a single week and trade near all-time highs around $237/share. Wheaton Precious Metals (WPM) smashed new 52-week highs near $133/share.
The ratio measures how many ounces of silver it takes to buy one ounce of gold—high ratios signal silver as the cheaper play, often leading to outperformance as it catches up. We've seen exactly that, with the ratio compressing sharply to ~50-52:1 now, confirming silver's explosive catch-up fueled by industrial demand (solar, AI, EVs) and persistent supply deficits.
I bought even more Seabridge in the $20s after these gains. The company remains undervalued despite the run.
The CEO, Rudy Fronk, has 95% of his net worth in the company's stock – that's ultimate skin in the game. With potential spin-outs like Courageous Lake planned for 2025-26 and massive NPV (net present value) upside, this is once-in-a-generation positioning.

Now let me talk about one of my favorite indicators... insider buying.
In 2022, growth stocks got massacred as the Fed tightened monetary policy. Snowflake, the cloud data platform, crashed from $400 to $110 amid the broader tech sell-off.
Most investors saw a falling knife. I saw accelerating fundamentals at fire-sale prices...
85% year-over-year, actually accelerating
Net retention rates above 170%, indicating sticky platform
Dominant in cloud data warehousing with high switching costs
Trading at a fraction of previous multiples despite improving metrics
But what really sealed the conviction? Insiders were buying.
Management and key executives accumulated shares during the panic. That signaled they believed the business was worth far more than the market price. When insiders step in while everyone else runs scared, that's one of the strongest signals I look for – it shows the people who know the company best are betting on recovery, not collapse.
"The market was pricing in a growth slowdown that wasn't happening. Snowflake's customers weren't cutting back – they were expanding usage. This was macro fear creating fundamental opportunity, and the insider buying confirmed it."
Snowflake rebounded to over $200 as investors rediscovered its growth trajectory, validating the contrarian fundamental analysis and the insider confidence signal.

Sometimes the best opportunities disguise themselves as disasters.
In 2023, RTX got hammered when its Pratt & Whitney division found quality control issues in aircraft engines. The stock dropped $30 – about $35 billion in market cap destruction.
The actual cost to fix the engine problems? $3.5 billion.
The market punished RTX 10 times more than the actual financial impact. This was classic emotional overreaction creating fundamental opportunity.
I looked at what RTX actually does beyond Pratt & Whitney. It manufactures Patriot missile defense systems – the exact technology you're seeing work in real-time in Ukraine and the Middle East.
RTX is a defense contractor with technology nobody else has...
It was trading like its engine division was the entire company...
But with wars breaking out everywhere and defense budgets growing globally, this was straightforward.
The fundamentals were crystal clear... a temporary operational issue in one division, while the core defense business benefited from the best environment in decades.
Bryan handled the timing on this one, but my fundamental analysis said this was a gift. And it was – the defense boom that followed made RTX one of our biggest winners, with 88.5% returns, beating the market by 54%.
8
These wins didn't happen by accident...
Maximum pessimism usually means maximum opportunity. When everyone's selling, exceptional businesses become cheap.
I target companies with advantages competitors can't easily copy. Regulatory moats, switching costs, irreplaceable assets – these survive temporary problems.
This is everything. Rolls-Royce had operational disruption, not obsolete technology. RTX had fixable quality issues, not fundamental defense sector decline.
I find opportunities with limited downside and massive upside potential. That means buying dollars for quarters where time works for you.
If everyone agrees it's a great investment, you're probably late to the party.
I invest my own money in every recommendation I make. When I was wrong on insurance provider SelectQuote (SQLT) last year – my first loss after 31 winners – I took the same hit as everyone else. I don't sell before I tell members to sell.
Next, Bryan will explain how he times these fundamental opportunities to maximize profits...

Karim finds what to buy. I figure out when to buy it.
The greatest fundamental analysis in the world won't save you from getting chopped up if you time your entry wrong. Too many traders nail the story but blow up their accounts because they had no clue about entry timing.
After 20 years on the CBOE floor trading Apple options, I've developed specific, repeatable patterns that work because they exploit predictable market psychology.
They're battle-tested setups I've used thousands of times.
Markets are efficient over the long term... but wildly inefficient in the short term. Emotional reactions create opportunities that usually correct within days or weeks, especially when the fundamental story is solid.
Most traders overcomplicate technical analysis. They study 47 indicators, wait for "perfect" setups, and miss the move while drawing trendlines.
I take the opposite approach: speed over perfection. In accelerated markets, the best setups happen fast and require immediate execution. You either act on clear signals or watch opportunities evaporate.
10
Whiplash has become the new normal. Take partial profits when available and reload on pullbacks. Treat volatility as investor hell but trader paradise.
This mindset proved prescient during the tariff chaos of 2025. When Trump's "Liberation Day" announcement sent the VIX spiking above 50 (crisis levels), most investors panicked...
But I recognized opportunity.
The March 2025 period perfectly demonstrated why accelerated technicals work...
Spiked to 50 on tariff fears, then crashed below 20 when Trump delayed implementation
10% drop in days (worst since 2020), followed by 35% rally from lows
28 out of 32 trades winners (87.5% win rate) during peak uncertainty
One trader won 21 out of 23 trades with 16.64% average gains, mostly 1-4 day holds
11
When the S&P plunged 10% in two days during the April tariff crash, I wasn't analyzing moving averages. I was executing gap-and-go setups on quality names that got unfairly punished.
When value stocks outperformed growth stocks by 7% in the first quarter of 2025, we were already positioned in defensive picks like The TJX Companies (off-price retail thrived during tariff inflation fears) and Cleveland-Cliffs (steel benefited from domestic protectionism).
In volatile markets, patterns accelerate. What normally takes weeks happens in days. Gap fills that usually need 30 days complete in five days. Breakouts that typically take time become explosive moves.
The key to capitalizing on this acceleration? A systematic approach at every stage of the trade.
Instantly identify high-probability patterns (gaps, exhaustion, rotation signals)
Enter positions within minutes of confirmation, not hours
Take profits quickly ("HALF off the table") before reversals hit
When Trump announced wide-sweeping tariffs in April 2025... fundamental analysts debated the policy implications.
We traded the reality: massive volatility creates massive opportunity. Each VIX spike above 30 became a buying signal. Each relief rally became a profit-taking opportunity.
Value rotation? We caught it early with domestic protection plays. Growth comeback? We reloaded tech names on pullbacks. Moving fast and taking profits faster.
I'm not talking about market predictions. I'm talking about reacting to what markets give you with maximum speed and efficiency.
Accelerated technicals turn chaos into cash. The whiplash that destroys buy-and-hold investors becomes our biggest profit driver.
And here's how we do it...
12
My most reliable chart pattern targets quality stocks that gap down 5% or more on earnings disappointment, despite solid underlying fundamentals.
When a good company gaps down on temporary bad news, the market hands you a gift. Emotional selling creates technical setups that usually reverse because institutions recognize oversold conditions in quality names.
I call these "Gift Gaps" because that's exactly what they are – presents from panicking retail traders who don't understand the difference between temporary disappointment and fundamental deterioration.
You can see this gap playing out with Ecolab Inc. (ECL).

You can see that it gapped down…
And then quickly "filled" 10% of it's gap…
That 10% move up after the stock gapped down is the gift gap trigger!
In the case of Ecolab, traders could have made 454% using options at the 10% trigger.

You don't need to have perfect timing. 10% is the minimum.
In fact, over 10 years of back-testing, we analyzed 3,735 gap-down events and found these results...
84.82% win rate in 76 days average
In September 2023, Ally Financial (ALLY) gapped down hard after weak earnings and credit concerns. I immediately recognized this as a textbook Gift Gap setup.
Here's what I saw...
The fundamentals remained strong. The banking sector sell-off was overdone. Ally's digital banking model remained intact with robust deposit growth.
The technical setup was perfect. There was a 12.61% gap down on massive volume. That's classic panic-selling exhaustion.
When ALLY moved back above $34.66, buying pressure confirmed the reversal setup.
Clear risk was defined with a stop below the gap day low at $31.95.
Multiple targets were established: 25% fill at $35.91, 50% fill at $37.16, 75% fill at $38.41, full fill back to $39.66.
I told our readers, "This is a textbook Gift Gap. Quality financial with temporary credit fears, massive oversold conditions. We buy when we get the 10% backfill confirmation."
ALLY filled over 75% of its gap within weeks, exactly as the pattern predicted. The key was recognizing that Ally's fundamental strength hadn't changed – only market perception shifted temporarily during banking sector fears.
This is why I get excited when quality stocks gap down hard. The market hands you a gift wrapped in fear, but the statistics show these setups reverse with incredible reliability.
13
When Karim identified aerospace and defense company RTX Corp. (RTX) as a fundamental value play, I handled the timing based on sector rotation signals and geopolitical catalysts.
In late 2024, I started seeing money flowing into defense stocks. Government focus on AI-powered defense systems, escalating global tensions, and budget allocations were creating momentum.
RTX had everything aligning...
Defense ETFs showing accumulation patterns as institutions positioned for increased spending.
Ukraine demonstrating Patriot effectiveness in real-time, creating immediate demand visibility.
RTX establishing clear support levels after the Pratt & Whitney sell-off.
Higher volume on up days, lower on down days – classic accumulation.
I told our members, "Defense spending is bipartisan. Doesn't matter who wins elections – this theme has legs. RTX gives us leverage to both recovery and the defense boom."
We couldn't have timed it better... RTX delivered 88.5% returns, crushing the market by 54 percentage points.
But here's the real edge: RTX became a "rinse and repeat" play. Every geopolitical flare-up – Venezuela tensions, Ukraine escalation, Middle East conflicts – created the same pattern. Pop on news, consolidation, then another pop on the next catalyst.
What's just as important as knowing when to buy?
Knowing when NOT to buy.
Technical analysis helps identify both opportunities and traps.
When TripAdvisor (TRIP) reported earnings, the stock tanked on guidance. CNBC talked about "buying the dip"... but I saw something different.
My technical analysis suggested more pain coming: broken support levels, high volume selling, sector rotation away from discretionary travel.
Instead of catching a falling knife, I advised waiting for a proper recovery setup.
TripAdvisor fell another 40.8% over time. My analysis nailed it.
Sometimes the best trade is the one you don't make.
Gaming stocks like Roblox (RBLX) create regular crash-to-recovery patterns around earnings. Instead of trying to predict direction, I focus on timing the recovery cycles.
Roblox delivered 109.3% for us over time, but the real profits came from timing the oversold bounces after each earnings-driven sell-off. Each cycle created technical opportunities as fear turned to greed.
One of my favorite setups involves identifying stocks with massive short interest positioned for explosive upward moves when positive catalysts hit... otherwise known simply as "squeeze" plays.
Canopy Growth (CGC) had huge short interest as traders bet against cannabis. But I was tracking federal reclassification discussions – a potential binary catalyst that would force short covering.
The stock had perfect squeeze conditions...
Over 30% of float sold short – pure rocket fuel for upward moves
Reclassification would create instant covering pressure
Stock had stabilized, creating a launching pad for the squeeze
When reclassification news hit, Canopy exploded 47% in hours as shorts scrambled to cover.
That wasn't luck - it was knowing what happens when massive short interest meets positive news.
These wins - Gift Gaps, sector rotations, squeeze setups, recovery cycles - all follow the same underlying principles.
14
My technical framework that I use…
Gap downs often represent panic, not rational repricing. Quality companies rarely deserve 5% haircuts on minor news.
High volume on gaps usually means selling exhaustion. When pressure peaks, buyers emerge.
I only trade setups meeting specific criteria and never force trades when patterns aren't clear.
Defined risk for every setup. I know my stop before entering, and I execute it without emotion.
Red days become opportunities when you have a system. Most people panic when stocks gap down. I get excited because I know these patterns usually reverse within my timeframe.
This removes emotion from timing and gives concrete entry strategies for Karim's fundamental picks.
But even perfect fundamentals combined with optimal technical timing aren't enough on their own.
The final piece - the element that transforms good setups into explosive winners - is the catalyst...
15

The third piece of our W.A.R. Trends System focuses on catalysts – the specific events that transform good fundamental stories with optimal technical timing into explosive winners.
These aren't random events. Catalysts follow patterns. Recognize them early and position before they become obvious to everyone else.
One of the biggest catalyst categories now is government policy shifts, especially around strategic industries.
When government priorities change, entire sectors revalue overnight. It's not just about money – it's about validation and competitive positioning.
The RTX story shows how policy catalysts create sustained opportunities. As tensions escalated globally, defense spending shifted from discretionary to essential.
Multiple catalysts aligned...
Patriot systems proving effectiveness in Ukraine created immediate demand from allies.
Government focus on AI-powered defense positioned RTX technology as critical infrastructure.
Defense remains one of few areas with consistent political support.
Government spending was one piece of the catalyst. The other piece was strategic validation transforming RTX from cyclical contractor to national security asset.
Next, the precious metals rally shows how macro catalysts drive entire sector rotations.
When I (Karim) called the gold thesis in early 2025, multiple factors were aligning: central bank buying, debt crisis reality ($36 trillion debt making inflation structural), geopolitical chaos creating safe-haven demand.
The catalyst wasn't just gold prices rising – it was recognition that the entire monetary system was shifting. Precious metals were seen as strategic assets rather than just commodities.
My Seabridge call worked because I identified the leverage play. When gold stocks finally caught up to the shiny metal, moves would be explosive. Gold went to $4,450... Seabridge delivered more than 200%.
Some of the most reliable opportunities come from seasonal patterns that repeat annually. The key is positioning during the off-season.
Every June 1, hurricane season starts. Every year, people think about backup power. Every year, Generac benefits.
Generac is one of our favorite seasonal plays. Every June when hurricane season kicks off, people start thinking about backup power. Every year, Generac catches a bid.
This is our systematic approach... used like clockwork. Buy in December when nobody's thinking about storms. Then when hurricane season starts, we're up 50% on our positions.
Climate volatility has made this pattern even more reliable. Dubai got a year's worth of rain in one day. Homebuyers now demand generators as standard equipment.
The "seasonal catalyst" story has become a structural growth story... but timing still matters for the best returns.
We've made this a routine: buy shares in December or January when nobody cares about storms. By the time hurricane season rolls around, we're sitting on 50% gains.
What's changed is climate volatility making these patterns even stronger. When Dubai gets a year's worth of rain in 24 hours, it gets people's attention. Homebuyers now expect generators as part of the package, not an add-on.
The seasonal play has evolved into a longer-term growth story, but getting your timing right still makes all the difference in your returns.
When insiders buy during market panics, it's one of the strongest catalysts for recovery. Our Snowflake example above shows this perfectly.
During the 2022 tech sell-off, Snowflake management aggressively bought shares while retail investors dumped. This signaled that people who knew the business best believed the market was wrong.
From a technical perspective, insider buying often marks bottoms. When you see heavy insider accumulation during selling pressure, that's usually your reversal signal.
The combination was perfect: fundamental value (accelerating growth at discount prices) + technical oversold conditions + insider conviction catalyst = explosive recovery when sentiment shifted.
Some of the biggest moves come from binary events – regulatory decisions, trial results, merger announcements – where outcomes are black or white.
The cannabis reclassification was pure binary. Either it happened or it didn't. Either shorts covered explosively or they didn't.
I (Bryan) positioned for the squeeze by identifying massive short interest (fuel for the fire), a binary catalyst timeline (federal reclassification discussions), and technical base building (coiled spring setup)
When news hit, the 47% move in hours was pure catalyst acceleration. It was
16

When all three elements align – Winning Fundamentals and Accelerated Technicals at the moment of Recent Catalysts – that's when we see our biggest winners.
Rolls-Royce, Seabridge Gold, RTX, and our other major successes all followed this exact pattern.
The W.A.R. Trends System works because it addresses the three main reasons traders fail: buying the wrong companies, timing entries poorly, and missing the accelerants that turn good setups into explosive winners.
Identify great companies but ignore timing, sitting through brutal drawdowns while waiting for their thesis to play out.
Catch moves but often in companies lacking sustainable advantages.
Both approaches work sometimes, but neither optimizes for consistent profitability.
The W.A.R. Trends System eliminates most losing trades before we enter them by requiring all three elements to align.
We don't buy great companies at terrible technical setups.
We don't trade perfect chart patterns in fundamentally broken businesses.
We don't position in quality companies with good technicals if we can't identify a specific catalyst to drive repricing.
This discipline produced our 73% to 76% win rate across seven years and over 3,200 documented trades.
It's what allowed us to deliver 87.5% win rate during the chaos of March 2025, when most investors were paralyzed by tariff uncertainty.
It's how we captured 1,400% on Rolls-Royce during a global crisis, 200% on Seabridge Gold during a precious metals explosion, and 88.5% on RTX during defense sector rotation.
With the W.A.R. Trends System, we keep finding the asymmetric opportunities hiding inside it - limited downside, explosive upside, and the systematic framework to capture both consistently
17
How Bryan Bottarelli and Karim Rahemtulla have delivered 73% to 76% win rates across seven years of volatile markets
